Position 1 – Certified Practitioners/Professionals
The International Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (INSHPO) advocates that those employing or engaging Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Practitioners and Professionals need to ensure that those individuals are Certified or Accredited (NZ) by an appropriate OHS Certification (or Accreditation) body.
Position 2 – Membership of Professional Association
The International Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (INSHPO) advocates that those employing or engaging Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Practitioners and Professionals need to ensure that those individuals are members of their local OHS Professional Membership Association.
Position 3 – OHS Legislation
The International Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (INSHPO) advocates that governments around the world embed the requirement that those who provide Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) advice to organisations are Certified or Accredited (NZ) by an appropriate OHS Certifying (or Accrediting) body, within their OHS (or equivalent) legislation.
Position 4 – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
The International Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (INSHPO) believes that diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility will positively contribute to OHS outcomes for organisations and countries around the world.
Position 5 – Occupational Health and Safety Governance Advice
The International Network of Safety and Health Professional Organisations (INSHPO) advocates for the boards and executives to seek advice from Certified or Accredited (NZ) OHS Professionals regarding OHS governance/assurance.
